I thought it was interesting because I liked how people could respond to comments on videos and that you click on the comments and see directly what part of the video they were referring to. I don’t know if I would necessarily create my own video but I would definitely use it for classes and for further research.

So Many Options! http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/27/so-many-options/ Sat, 28 Mar 2015 02:31:08 +0000 http://agrondine.wordpress.com/?p=205 ]]> The tool I was most interested in today was Katharina’s presentation of PearlTree. It seemed like a really cool way to connect with friends and to organize all of your interests easily. I thought it was exciting how you could include photos as well and organize them into your different interests.

Day 15: Independent Project Work http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/25/day-15-independent-project-work/ Wed, 25 Mar 2015 22:50:07 +0000 http://rahuber9.wordpress.com/?p=125 ]]> Checklist Observations

I have completed my presentation and set up a clear navigation between the pages of my web essay. My presentation is linked under the ‘Interrogate an Interface’ drop down menu. I have not completed the analysis for my web essay yet, but I have those pages up and have thought about what I will put under each.

What I Did

I finished my presentation and began practicing for it. I also added the web essay analysis pages.

Why I Did It

I am presenting on Monday and wanted to have plenty of time to practice. I added the pages so my blog would be easy to navigate and you won’t have to search to find my analysis.

Peer Review for Project 3 http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/20/peer-review-for-project-3-2/ Fri, 20 Mar 2015 15:38:08 +0000 http://agrondine.wordpress.com/?p=161 ]]> What I Heard in Peer Review

Krista liked how I set up my introduction to the project which was good. I found out I need to include my PowerPoint somewhere on the site so I need to determine that.

What I Need To Do

  • Finish web essay
  • Work on PowerPoint presentation & write notecards
  • Fix the navigation between the Interrogate and Interface & Overview
  • Incorporate PowerPoint
  • Edit for grammar/punctuation

Progress http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/18/progress/ Wed, 18 Mar 2015 15:57:00 +0000 http://agrondine.wordpress.com/?p=155 ]]> What I Did

Today, I added navigation tools to each of my pages. I also started working on my web essay by starting my text for the main project 3 page.

Why I Did It

I incorporated navigation tools because my theme doesn’t support three levels of sub-menus. Thus, you will not find my sub-headings for the project in the main drop down menu for the projects. Instead, I hyperlinked each page so that the reader can navigate through the interrogation easily. I also started working on my essay so that I can have something ready to go on Friday and it’s an important aspect to include as an introduction to the interrogation.

Day 13: Project Progress Part 2 http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/16/day-13-project-progress-part-2/ Tue, 17 Mar 2015 02:05:23 +0000 http://rahuber9.wordpress.com/?p=93 ]]> What I Did:

Today I added a drop down menu beneath my ‘Interrogate an Interface’ tab. I began to analyze each of the categories I chose.

Why I Did It:

I did this because I believe it is an effective way for readers to learn about the interface. If they have specific questions, they can chose which subcategory they would be in.

Day 12: Project Progress http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/15/day-12-project-progress/ Sun, 15 Mar 2015 22:42:28 +0000 http://rahuber9.wordpress.com/?p=57 ]]> IMG_4406

What I Did:

I furthered my research on my interface. I looked into how to add links to my web essay so that way my readers could navigate my project without it looking messy or overwhelming. I also looked at the example projects to get ideas of what I did and didn’t like. It was interesting to see the other designs and commentary they had on their interfaces.

Why I Did It:

Because I want my project to look clean and professional and easy to read. I want my readers to get a full understanding of the interface and how using it can be beneficial to them. I want them to be interested in my work, but if they only have a few questions they are able to immediately find where to look.

March 6 http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/05/march-6/ Fri, 06 Mar 2015 02:02:03 +0000 http://hvtd.wordpress.com/?p=48 ]]> What I Did

2015-03-05_2036 Today I worked on the research portion of my project. I had to sign up for an account, which was free to do with Meograph. I then proceeded to initially browse the website and get ideas of what other people post on the site. I then went into my own account and tried to see what I could come up with very quick and dirty like.

Why I Did it2015-03-05_2038

I wanted to get an idea of what the website had to offer. I figured by browsing through and watching the videos of many other people I could get an okay idea of what kinds of things you could do. I watched videos from a lot of different people, as well as multiple videos by the same people just to get another angle of how the site lets you go about using their features.

I also wanted to try and create something, even some that that made absolutely no sense, just so I could see first hand what kind of features were offered through the site. 2015-03-05_2043

Teleworking! http://spring15blogs.tracigardner.com/2015/03/05/teleworking/ Thu, 05 Mar 2015 21:21:08 +0000 http://agrondine.wordpress.com/?p=128 ]]> What I Did

For Friday 3/6’s class, I worked on my following goals:

You can see my completed Writer/Designer Analysis document by clicking on the hyperlink above in the bulleted list. I created my login tool, took screenshots, filled in the analysis questions and discovered how the site worked.

Why I Did It

I created a login because it required me to and I wanted to have an account since I’ll be working on the tool a lot in the upcoming weeks. I took screenshots along the way because I knew I’d have to do it all over again if I didn’t seize the opportunity. It was a lot easier to just take the screenshots as I worked because it shows exactly what I did step-by-step so it will now be easier to complete my analysis. I filled in the analysis questions along the way as well because it was more helpful to do so as I was witnessing it for the first time and it was fresh in my mind as I tried to navigate the new site.

Below, you can see my proof that I worked on this project for 50+ minutes:
