Today I created two categories for organizing my posts. I created ‘Work Day’ and ‘Project’. In the future, when I create posts I will organize them into one of these categories to help keep myself organized. Being able to easily find my posts will be very beneficial in the long run of this sit.

Why I Did It:

These are the two categories that I will be using the most in this class. In Work Days,  I will recap what I’ve done in class that day and why I did it. In Project, I will post the projects and assignments we have due. This will help keep me organized in admin section and allow me to easily find my  work.

I chose a theme that utilizes pictures. I wanted it to be simple and easy to read. I think my blog successfully achieved this desired look.

Why I did it:

I want my readers to be able to visually see how exciting hiking can be. Seeing something can elicit different feelings compared to simply reading about them. The pictures are a priority over the text for me and I think my theme supports that.

Since our blog posts so far have centered around the work that we have in class, these pictures give my readers insight into what they can expect from my blog in the future. As we get more into assignments and projects, I will include elements of hiking in to them.

 What I Did

Today we focused on creating our blogs. My blog is titled ‘Sharing my Passion’, because that is what I plan to do with my audience. I chose a theme that uses pictures to build the homepage of the website as I plan to fill it with my hiking memories.

Why I Did It

I wanted pictures to be an important part of my theme because my hiking pictures are an important part of my blog. They help the reader see what I am talking about and are encouraging to them for so many ways. Seeing a picture of a mountain can evoke passion, curiosity and adventure in a reader.
