Because I kept my work organized throughout via my mockup, moving the Tweets over in order to my WordPress page was easy. However, I did run into two issues. One, I mistakenly wrote the wrong score on one of the GIFs, but I caught it and went back and made a new one. Second, I figured out that simply having Tweets didn’t provide enough Context for the story, so I decided to include plain text before each Tweet to explain what was happening.

After finishing up my actual project, I created my presentation. I faced a few difficult choices as far as design with the fake Twitter and the real Twitter and also the grainy images from the actual game in the GIFs, so I was sure to include notes about that in my slides so I remembered to touch on it.

What I Did/Why I Did It

I continued working within my mockup to guide the Tweets I had to create. As I created each Tweet, I would paste it into the appropriate slot on my mockup to continue the organization of my project. This way, once I’m ready to put it online, I will be able to easily transfer it.

I used clips of the Disney movie “Miracle” and highlights from the actual game from YouTube to create Gifs. I used IMGFlip to create the GIFs, which actually turned out to be a pretty easy process. I just had to figure out where in the video I wanted the GIF to start and stop and then it did the clipping and looping for me.

Today, I worked on finding more pins so that each board had 15+ pins. I also watched the movie to screen shot some images to add to my boards. I also created a board that held all of the tweets Daisy would write.

Why I Did It

I wanted each board to have 15+ pins because they needed to encompass Daisy and things that she would pin. Each category reflects her personality and how she would plan parties, design her house, think about Gatsby, etc. I watched the movie because there were some images I was unable to find on my own and they would provide the perfect example of what each board needed to complete it. I created the Tweets board because I thought it would be the best way to keep everything together so that it would be easy since it’s all in one place.

Today, I continued to work on my remix a story project. I created a real twitter account so that I can include my GIFs and memes, as I couldn’t find a fake twitter generator with that capability. I also completed the SPOT evaluation for the class.

Why I Did It

Creating a real Twitter was necessary because it allows me to include the GIFs and Memes that are the risks I have decided to take with the project. The fake twitter generators never allowed me to attach an image or a GIF file as easily as a real twitter. I still have some GIFs to create and then I need to upload it onto my WordPress, but I am confident I will finish in plenty of time ahead of my presentation date.

I decided not to incorporate videos into my pages because I think that will just over complicate things to an unnecessary degree.  My main risk in this project is the sheer amount of work surrounding it so I need to stay realistic, keep my head above water, and produce a final product that focuses on quality not quantity.

Today, I worked on pinning more things to my boards so they had some good depth. I also worked on searching through the pins to find specific literary references. Since last class, I have created 10 tweets that link to Daisy’s Pinterest page.

Why I Did It

I searched for more pins because my boards need to have at least 20 pins per board in order for them to hold relevance (to my standard). If Daisy is going to pin about something, there has to be a reason people would follow her. I also made the tweets because it gives a second level of Daisy and allows her audience to connect with her in another medium.

Today I finished customizing each of the 8 Princesses Photo Gallery section.  They each have 6 photos with descriptions below.  The photos depict their hobbies, life events, or just iconic moments from their respective films.  It’s taking me sort of a long time because, obviously I want to depict all aspects of their characters in the gallery, but also because it’s a lot of formatting.  However, it’s coming along nicely and I think each page’s customization is making the project really come together.

Next I plan to work on answering each of the questions for each Princess so that may take awhile too, but it’s worth it!  I think the addiction is real….

Today, I realized I had less blogs than I should. So, I went on a hunt to figure out where they could be. Next, I began working on the powerpoint presentation I will use to present to the class. I then edited my footage a little more.

Here’s why:

Firstly, I actually wrote the blogs so I searched until I could find them. Luckily, I found a draft from two months ago that accounted for one. The other is still at large – more info to come. Then, I began the powerpoint because I present on the first day. I tried to make it as patriotic as possible by creating a color scheme of red, white, and blue, so that it tied into the theme and story of my project seamlessly. Lastly, I worked on editing my content a bit more in order to have it as complete as possible as soon as possible. This will give me more time to give the video some final tweaks if needed as the deadline draws closer.
