WHAT I DID

Today I created my blog on WordPress. I picked a URL, blog name, and tagline. I picked the eighties theme and I am writing my first post. I changed some settings for email and updated my profile for WordPress. I uploaded an image for my gravatar to be connected to my profile.

WHY I DID IT

Because my last name is unique it was really easy to come up with the URL for my site, simply my first then last name. The name I chose, “lindsay with an a” is funny and also meaningful to me because my whole life people have assumed my name is spelled Lindsey and I really like to correct them. It’s funny because my friends who know that bothers me have started spelling it incorrectly on purpose, so I’ve started introducing myself as “Lindsay with an A”. I’m not quite sure yet of the function of the tagline so for now it just states the purpose my blog has for this class (Writing & Digital Media). I have a feeling I’ll really enjoy blogging and continue it after this class is over though so that tagline will be changed sometime.
