Today, I created a blog.
Here’s what I did.
First I created a new account. Although I had one through VT for a previous course, I wanted to create a new site to make it more personal and current. I then created a user name and url, annahubb, because my whole name was already taken. Next I chose the theme Illustratr and changed its color options to pink. I then went back and created a tagline similar to the one on my twitter.
Here’s why I did it.
I created a new site to be able to start fresh and make things more personal (I also couldn’t log in to my older one…) My username and url is a shortened version of my name, so I found it to be the next best option behind my full name, which as I mentioned was unavailable. I made my theme choice based on stylistic details I usually go for – clean and bold. I though these design elements were apparent in the bold fonts and simple color scheme. However, I did have to throw in my favorite color, pink, to add some life to the page. My tagline is similar to the one on my twitter. My goal with it is to describe some of my favorite things and personality traits in a simple and concise form, which again I feel contributes to the overall theme of the site.
