What I did: I created my very first blog on WordPress. I named my blog “ENGL 3844 Blog.” I also made changes in the “Settings” tab. Specifically, I changed the timezone and the email settings. In the future, I plan to work on my blog’s appearance.

Why I did it: Clearly, I created the blog for the purpose of this class. I named my blog “ENGL 3844 Blog” after the course and did not name my tagline. However, once I get a stronger sense of my blog, I will change the name and tagline to something more creative. I also changed the timezone to New York so the date/time would be correct. And I unchecked the boxes in the “E-mail me whenever” section; I did not want to receive any emails from the site. I look forward to working on my blog’s appearance; I definitely want to pick a fun and clean theme.
