What I did:

I chose a theme that utilizes pictures. I wanted it to be simple and easy to read. I think my blog successfully achieved this desired look.

Why I did it:

I want my readers to be able to visually see how exciting hiking can be. Seeing something can elicit different feelings compared to simply reading about them. The pictures are a priority over the text for me and I think my theme supports that.

Since our blog posts so far have centered around the work that we have in class, these pictures give my readers insight into what they can expect from my blog in the future. As we get more into assignments and projects, I will include elements of hiking in to them.
