What I Did

I added the theme Penscratch, changed the background color to light blue, added my picture as the logo at the top, and added a main and sidebar menu. The main menu now has a Home and About Me page. I added social media links to the sidebar menu for my Twitter and LinkedIn sites. I added a navigation label and title attribute to all of my menu tabs. I also added a follow button, search engine, and calendar to my widgets.

Why I Did It

I used the Penscratch theme as it is more suitable for a text-heavy blog instead of an image-heavy blog. I changed the background color and added my picture as the logo to customize my blog to my own personal tastes. I changed the About tab to the About Me tab as I felt it was more personal. I added my social media links to better advertise myself to my readers. I added the follow button to my widgets to make it easier for readers to keep reading my blog. I also added the search engine and calendar so readers can easily find a specific blog post.
