What I Did

After watching the lynda.com videos, I made several updates to my blog’s appearance. First, I went through and customized my blog’s theme, which is the Kelly theme. I added a background color that goes along the border of the page. In addition, I added a tagline under my name at the top of the blog page. I used the tagline, “Perfectly Imperfect,” the same as in my Online Identity. Finally, I also added a couple widgets to my blog’s home page.

Why I Did It 

I customized my blog’s theme by adding a background color of a semi-dark blue color to go along with the mint color that I have set as the base color for the Kelly theme. I added this blue color as a border to match the mint just to add additional color to brighten the appearance of the blog. I added the tagline, “Perfectly Imperfect” underneath my name because it is what I consider myself to be, specifically my personality and my own definition of normal; I feel like the phrase really describes me well. I added widgets to my blog because I wanted to make it easier for readers to navigate the site and to make it overall more user friendly.
