What I Did:

The major thing I have done since my last post was creating my “about” page. I added a short bio taken mostly from my online identity statement, and I added an explanation of the title of my blog and how I chose it. I also included the imaged I created for my online identity.

Next, I created categories for my posts. The categories include one for all of the posts called “What I Did & How I Did It” and one for each of the assignments, “Interrogate an Interface,” “Remix a Story,” and “Completion Report.”

I also tried to play around with widgets and menus, but I couldn’t really get anywhere. I was hoping to put a tab up at the top next to “Home” and “About” labeled “Categories,” to make it easy to find the specific posts. However, I was unable to get that successfully figured out either.

 

 

Why I Did it:

Keeping my audience in mind, I made my “about” page pretty basic. I wanted to make for an easy read by including only the necessary information to get my point across without boring the reader.

The categories I created were required, but I think they will be very useful once my posts start piling up!

I attempted to add a “categories” tab to the top menu to make for easier navigation for the reader. This is something I find necessary and helpful for myself, so I definitely I want to figure out how to make this edit.
