Today, I decided to change the background of my blog. While I liked the “Sorbet” theme, I thought the white background was a little boring, and I thought it could use some more color to better reflect my personality. I changed it to one of the colors that was included in the theme, so the colors wouldn’t clash. Today, I also added a header image. Gerber daisies are my favorite, and I thought it brightened up my page and provided some more interest. I also added two widgets. One being an author widget that shows my picture and my Gravatar profile. Another being a short slideshow with pictures of my cat. Since I changed my tagline today to include information about my favorite furry animal, I thought it was only fitting to provide an image of him. I think these changes “humanized” my blog site and made it more interesting to explore.
