What I did:

The theme I initially chose for my blog was Tonal. After searching through the other free themes, I first changed the theme to Penscratch and soon after changed the theme to Sela. I then customized my theme by adding an image to the header and then playing around with the color palette options to see which looked best with my header image of veggie pizza

Why I did it:

I decided to ditch the Tonal theme because the headers and fonts were too big and overwhelming. I liked the theme Penscratch for similar reasons to Sela—both seemed more friendly and with smaller, less in-your-face font. In the end, I chose Sela over Penscratch because of the color options. There were three different color palettes to choose from in Sela where in Pinscratch there were none. Since my blog is still pretty bare, I decided it was best to choose the theme that could bring a little more life to the blog.
