Today is day three of blog editing.
Here is what I did.
I added two categories, project 2 and project 3, and placed my two previous blog posts under project two. I then decided to once again separate my home page from my about page. I made the home page static and moved my featured image from my about page to my home page.
Next, I worked on developing my about page. First, I added an image. Next, I researched how to wrap text around photos in word press. After figuring it out, I added my about from my LinkedIn profile, which is a “definition of me.”
Lastly, I grappled with moving my search, archive, and recent posts widgets from the bottom area of my page to a tab in my menu bar. However, I decided to keep them as is.
Here is why I did it.
I categorized my posts in project two to make navigation of my site easier. I decided to re-separate my home and about pages because my about page is most substantial now due to the added image and bio. Making the home page static was and easy decision as I wanted it to give off the feel of a professional website. I also chose to move my featured image to this page to give viewers a nice visual to draw in their as soon as they enter the site
The image I chose I made black and white so that it was consistent with the image on the home page, and I chose my bio because I thought it was a different approach at formatting a bio.
Finally, I kept the widgets at the bottom because the theme leaves no other option and I am unsure of the wording I would use to include it in the menu bar and have the bar remain consistent.
