Here are the top ten multimodal texts located in my backpack:

1. Wallet – Visual, Gestural, Spacial
2. Sunglasses – Visual
3. Headphones – Aural, Visual
4. Power cord – Visual, Gestural, Spacial
5. Portfolio folder & documents within – Linguistic, Spacial
6. Newspaper – Linguistic, Visual, Spacial
7. Reddit iPhone App – Linguistic, Visual, Gestural
8. Laptop – Aural, Linguistic, Visual, Gestural, Spacial
9. Syllabus – Linguistic, Spacial
10. Backpack itself – Visual, Gestural, Spacial

As you can see, the laptop is the only device that used all five of the modes. It provides sound, allows me to read, is visually pleasing, the trackpad is gesture based, and is organized in a specific manner. Across all texts I can see that they are all linguistic, all visual, and all spacial. This is because while yes it they are solely linguistic they also offer a level of aesthetics for the eyes via their organizational patterns.
