interestingly enough none of them use all five! some come close – like the instagram app on my phone, but even that is missing spacial because it’s not really taking up and physical space being inside of my phone (since my phone itself counts as a device). many others, like my books and notebooks, use all but aural, as they don’t communicate anything through sound. all of these are very similar, as they’re all just different ways of communicating linguistic text – all taking up space and creating something to look at in the process. One mode that almost all include is gestural, as I have to use all of these physically to get them to work (i.e, opening the notebooks, scrolling through instagram, etc.). all except one, the buttons – after placing them on my backpack, i never have to interact with them directly again. although I wouldn’t exactly call my personal moleskin notebook unusual, the things inside it may be! so here’s a picture of a little doodle i did during a close one day:
