What I Did
Since my last post, I have reorganized my menu so that there is a general tab/category, “Projects,” and each specific project placeholder is a drop down tab under that. I have also upgraded my “About” tab in the menu. I already have a general About page with basic information, and I added a subcategory to that which is about my transfer story.
Why I Did It
From the beginning, I wanted to find a way to place all my individual project placeholders, under one broad category. Today I was finally able to learn how to do that with the subcategories in the menus option. I think this cleans up my blog in the way that the top menu is not crowded with so many options. It also makes my blog more organized and easier for me to manage.
I knew I wanted to add personal touches to my blog but wasn’t sure how. The About page was a good way to do that and a place to add on to. I couldn’t think of much that I could add as a subcategory to “About” because I don’t have any excerpts from articles or stories I have written that would be fun to share, and I couldn’t come up with enough photos I would want to put into a gallery. I thought the story about why I transferred would be a good personal touch and was also something fun and different.
