This is the post for the class on February 18, 2015.

What I Did:

I added two child pages to my about page – “Loves of my life” and “Screw Gamergate…” For the “Loves” page, I had to go onto my Instagram account and retrieve the photos because I don’t have my personal computer with me. However, you can’t just save photos from Instagram for some reason, so I had to dig through the source code, find the URL for each individual photo, and then save the photo from there. It was like a treasure hunt! I also figured out how to get my three photos on my about page to be centered – add them into a gallery. After that, I added a page about my love of video games and posted a photo for each page.

Why I Did It:

I wanted to make this blog more personal. By doing that, the reader can get a better sense of who they’re reading about, and can hopefully relate more. My animals are the most important thing in my life and I spend nearly every waking moment thinking about them, so why not have a page about them? Also, I love video games, and that’s kind of a unique hobby, so I wanted to post about that as well.
