Tidying Up

What I did

Today I put the finishing touches on my site. I reorganized the menus so that they were in a logical order (and not just alphabetical), added text to my “site info” page and fleshed out my “about me” page with links and pictures! I would like to set up some sub-menus for each of the class projects, but unfortunately I have yet to get that to work. I toyed with some new background pictures, but finally settled with my composition of a tunnel; I was worried that the image might make the site text hard to read, but because of the contrast between the white text and the dark image, I think I can get away with it.

Why I did it

I wanted to make sure that all the requirements of the project were met, so a lot of what I did today was quality control, so to speak. I went through the the minutia of my site to make sure that everything was both correct and in its proper place. Adding the links to and pictures in the about page really added another dimension of personalization, I think. As it stands, the page does a decent job of describing who I am.
