Autocorrect has gotten me into awkward situations many times. I feel like with texting, my fingers almost work faster than my brain, and sometimes I’ll see an error but my fingers are already going to hit send and I can’t stop them!! The most awkward autocorrect incident I can think of was a time me and my mom were texting about my brother possibly relocating for a job. We were talking about how he would potentially move up to the Northern Virginia area or DC for it, and I meant to say how it was an interesting “job prospect,” but I said “bj prospect.” I was horrified about the thought of my mom reading that phrase, and even more horrified when I learned that she knew what that acronym meant. I also have no idea why on earth my phone defaulted to “bj” because I literally NEVER type that and I would be terribly embarrassed for anyone to think that is one of my commonly used words. Darn you, autocorrect.
