More often than not, I find myself really annoyed and frustrated with autocorrect. I know its purpose is to make it more convenient for people to type messages, but autocorrect frequently makes my texting experiences more difficult and time consuming than they should be. A common autocorrect fail that many people experience is f*** being turned into duck and f***ing being turned into ducking. While I don’t use the word very often, whenever I do, autocorrect never fails to fail me. Another common autocorrect fail I experience is when I’m typing Hokies, autocorrect will change it to Homies so I will accidentally type “Go Homies!” instead of “Go Hokies!”

Other times when I am typing messages, I get lucky and autocorrect seems to know just what I am thinking. Those are the times when I appreciate the convenience and speed that autocorrect provides. After I have typed a particular word or phrase many times, autocorrect picks up on it and I never have to fully type it again.
