5/6 of an Hour a.k.a 50 Minutes a.k.a 3,000 seconds

Today I did my “50 minutes” of work on my project for last Friday’s class!  Here’s a really cheesy selfie (which my cat watched and most definitely judged me as I took) to prove it.

Working On Project

Today I did the basics.  I had made my PearlTrees account last week when I was given my subject, however, I hadn’t done much with my person site.  I started off by looking around the site and trying to get the lay of the land by just looking, but I realized it would make more sense to start creating my site so I could actually see the affordances and constraints in action.  I started creating and taking a bajillion screenshots.

It was interesting to see the difference, because when I first started using the site I thought it was going to be easy.  What I’ve been finding is that while things are well labeled once you find them, finding them is easier said then done. Maybe it was my lack of technology skills, but it took me 5 minutes to find out how to change the title of one of the pictures I’ve uploaded.  I think it’s a lot of trial and error and I’ll learn as I go. For my 50 minutes I basically just set up my site. I want to be able to actually use the applications on things as opposed to hypothesizing how things would work.  Here is a (general) picture of what a (basically) completed site looks like…
