Work Day, 3/16

What I Did

Today in class, I was not able to be very productive because I was having some computer issues and could not connect my rental computer to VT wireless. However, once I changed my wireless password and went to a different part of campus, I was able to work some on my project.

I spent some more time working on figuring out how Popplet works by playing around with my own demo poppet. I created a demo poppet over the weekend, so I wanted to continue working on it and see what else I could learn from the tool.

In addition, I also took some screenshots of different aspects of the tool as I was working on my demo.

Why I Did It

By working on my demo, I was able to get a sense of what some of the affordances and constraints are that Popplet has; what is useful about it and what it provides and then what does not work about it. I have figured out that the drawing tool within the popplet box does not work for me, though it originally did but now it does not. Another constraint that Popplet has is that its login system does not always work and once you are logged in, it will log you out even after just a few minutes of being on the site.

I took screenshots while working on my demo popplet in order to be able to refer back to what I liked and didn’t like and what worked and didn’t work.
