Meograph is a website designed for users to create their own “moments” as they are called on the website. A number of moments are then put together to create a video to express something important to the user. The basic idea is that the user will use a voice over to introduce the idea, and then insert part of a youtube video to show their idea in action.

Here is an example of what this looks likeĀ http://www.nba.com/fanrewind/#meograph=85314

If you notice, the link to this video does not take you to the Meograph website. That is because Meograph markets itself to companies in the way of ad campaigns. The main market that Meograph tries to reach are the big businesses looking for new marketing strategies. The interactive way that a user can create their feature with this tool allows companies to, in turn, interact on a more personable level with their market.

Take the above example. The NBA has put out a call for action for fans to create a video with meograph expressing any of their favorite NBA moments. This allows fans to feel like they are part of the NBA brand, and at the same time allows the NBA to market themselves as a fan-first company. In addition, the NBA is also relieved of the duty of creating packages themselves. Lazy? …..or smart?

Beyond the campaign market for higher companies, Meograph is also available to the everyday user to have fun with. This could be a good tool for students to use when creating visual projects. The tool is accessible to everyone, and has great usability for all demographics.
