Today we looked at 7 different applications that were interrogated by the students of Writing and Digital Media. I did not see any particular application jump out at me and that I will be downloading soon, but I did find one that I was extremely intrigued by.
This application was X-ray Goggles. If I were a coding enthusiast, this application would be right up my alley. Unfortunately I am not. I have limited experience with coding, but I do have a strong interest in graphic design. If for some reason I was ever tasked with creating a website, I would use X-ray Goggles on my favorite websites to see how they have coded their visual effects and web design. Using this as inspiration, I would use similar coding in my own site. As a student in the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech, I can see this application being very useful to students in the program who have a particular interest in web design and coding. I, again, do not particularly enjoy coding, but I think that the idea behind the application is innovative and very helpful to the right audience.
