Today was the first day of presentations for Project 3, Interrogating an Interface. While I enjoyed listening to everyone’s presentations and learning about all of the different interfaces, I found Caroline’s interface, PearlTrees to have the most potential to be useful and effective. It’s funny because PearlTrees was my number one choice interface to interrogate for my project, but Caroline got to the sign up just before I did!
PearlTrees is basically a Google Drive and a Pinterest all in one, which is really cool. It is a place where you can store photos, recipes, DIY project ideas, fashion wish lists, and more. I love Pinterest, so to have a place where I can store even more ideas and pictures is really nice. Caroline mentioned that PearlTrees allows you to store up to a certain amount of GB for free and then anything beyond that you have to pay for. I’m sure it would be really hard to go over the free limit, as Caroline said, she’s only used about 1% of it. I think the purpose of PearlTrees is really cool and it’s useful for people who want another site besides Google Drive and Pinterest to store data and ideas in! I plan to check it out myself!
