3/27 & 3/30 Presentations

I liked the application Trello. It reminded me very strongly of Pinterest, which I am a frequent user of. However, one feature that Trello offers that Pinterest does not, is the ability to make lists easily and efficiently. I like that you can move items between lists like “To do” to “Complete.” However, I do not think I would use both Trello and Pinterest. Ultimately I plan to stick with Pinterest because I believe that it has more affordances and less constraints than Trello.

I really liked Kim’s tool called Thematic. As a student in the visual arts, I loved how focused this interface was on sharing stories through visual means. I like that this interface encourages users to tell stories mainly through images with less focus on text and audio. However, I can also see the restraints that this tool has for those same reasons. I’m not sure what I would use this application for, but I think it would be fun to use the explore page. I would also be interested to see what a photographer thinks about the site’s affordances and constraints.
