1) What makes a good project:
A creative medium to demonstrate the highlights of a well known story that can be fiction or nonfiction. There needs to be a demonstration of an understanding of technology. Needs to be unique and fun.
2) Which project was the best:
I really liked the Time Magazine version of The Hunger Games. The work is really clean with a lot of thought into which aspects of the story were important to highlight. The project required an understanding of HTML coding, and the skills of the project creator were demonstrated really well and very cleanly. Compared to other projects, I thought the Time Magazine idea was really straightforward, relevant to the story it was portraying, and very realistic. Other projects were a little too satirical, or didn’t think through minor presentation details that ended up deterring from the overall appeal of the remix.
3) Project ideas:
The Giver – really good book/story, could create a portfolio of selective color images that tell the story.
The Incredibles – it’s my favorite pixar movie
Mean Girls – it’s my favorite movie to quote
