The story I have chosen to remix is Divergent.

• Explain what portion of the story, if relevant.

I plan to remix the story by catering the plot to students at Virginia Tech. Instead of the 5 factions used in the original story, I have come up with 3 factions that college students fit into (The Academia’s: students who excel in their courses, The Dorment’s: students who get plenty of sleep, and The Socialites: students with avid social lives). All Virginia Tech students fall into at least 1 and possibly 2 of these factions, but when a student falls into all 3, they are Divergent’s.

• Identify what genre you want to use for the project. 

I plan to produce a movie trailer on iMovie, using my own footage and a script I will prepare.

• Give us the bibliographic citations and/or links to at least three sources that you will use as you work on your project. You can use any bibliographic format you like, but be sure there’s enough information for me to confirm the sources.
