Class Work April 27th, 2015

Today (after I managed to get my internet to work), I began to narrow down the images that I am going to use in my final project. I have a good collection of pictures that I am going to Photoshop, and I am excited to see what I will be able to do with them. […]

Class Work April 24th, 2015

Today I looked through the actual text of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea to see what is written about the areas that I’m going to be doing my project on. I feel that it’s given me a good direction to go in visually.

Revision Plan

In peer review today, it was suggested that I Photoshop images to incorporate underwater architecture and images of the submarine that the crew is on in order to make the images look more like they are from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This has really helped me make a decision on how I’m going to […]

Creating a (Rough) Rough Outline

I created a very rough mock-up of the separate places I want to do postcards on. There are a few more places mentioned in the book that I’m not quite sure about using yet. There is a mixture of both real and fictional locations. I haven’t found many pictures to edit/use for inspiration yet, so […]

Mock-Up vs. Storyboard

I think for my project’s outline I am going to do a mock-up. My project is going to be made up almost entirely of still images, so I think that using a mock-up will make the planning process a lot easier than if I used a storyboard. I’m not really presenting the story of the […]

Proposing a Story

I would like to do my project on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne. I will create post cards from the various places the crew travels under the ocean.  I haven’t decided if I’m going to hand-draw them or create the images in a image editing program yet. Some sources I’m planning on […]

Day 3 of Presentations

I could definitely see myself using Fetchnotes. I’m always making notes and reminders all over the place, and that sometimes results in me forgetting about things I need to do or want to remember. I think having all of my notes consolidated in one place would be really beneficial.

Day 2 of Presentations

X-Ray Goggles really interested me. It seems like a really fun way to begin to learn HTML. I can see myself playing around with it for a little while and enjoying myself. I’m definitely going to try it out and see what I can learn from it.

Project 3 Checklist

Checklist Observations: I need to still add screenshots to my web essay, and I need to set up navigation between pages. Right now, I have my entire essay on one page, so I’ll have to split it up into different sections. What I Did: I took some additional screenshots to use in my essay. Why […]

Day 1 of Presentations

I thought that Coggle seemed like a really useful tool for note taking. My notes can get messy sometimes and this linear layout seems like it would make my notes way easier to follow. I’ll definitely try it out next time I’m taking notes in class.
