Direct E-mail, New Page, and Links

What I Did

I added a place to directly e-mail me onto my Contact Me page with code. I added links to the Virginia Tech site, Obscure Ink‘s Facebook page, and Silhouette‘s Facebook page on my About Me page. I create a new page called Example Creative and Technical Work. I placed a drop down menu for this page under the About Me menu and also linked to this new page on the About Me page. I put three links on the Example Creative and Technical Work page. One is a link to another website with a gallery of photos I have taken. One is a link to another site with a video I shot and edited. The last link is to a pdf of a brochure I designed for the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech. Finally, I changed all of my pages’ title attributions.

Why I Did It

The direct e-mail feature made my Contact Me page more convenient. The links to outside resource on the About Me page will help readers learn more about the organizations I’m associated with and what kind of work I have already done. I placed the Example page menu under the About Me menu for ease of access. I link to examples of my work on the Example page to give readers a better idea of my qualifications. I also changed the title attributions to my pages as I didn’t realize at first they would pop up if you hovered over the pages on the site. I didn’t like the title attribution to be different than the name of the page, so I made them all match.
